Rehabilitation after chemo- and radiotherapy using autologous (patient’s own) CD 34+ cells of PBMCs.
Diseases include: All types of cancer and malignant neoplasms, before and during chemo- and radiotherapy
Therapy principle: chemo and radiotherapy toxically affect healthy cells and tissue of the organism, damage them and disorder their functions. The CD34+ autologous (patient’s own) PBMCs that have been gathered before the therapy or at its early stages, are stored at low temperatures and are transfused to the patient reducing the severity and frequency of certain side effects, such as leukopenia, thrombocytopenia and anemia, as well as promoting regeneration of the immune system.
The effect of the cell therapy on the restoration of other organs and tissues after the treatment of cancer has never been the goal of the research, but the available published materials about the regeneration in cardiology, rheumatology, and neurology permit optimistic evaluation of the application of this approach in oncological practice.
Result: improved survival rates and significant decrease of the life-threatening complications in the patients after the chemo- and radiotherapy.
